Event details

Professor Julian Dow has a long interest in the transport pathways regulating key ionic distributions in biology.

The work encompasses several insect species including the model organism Drosophila which he has used to investigate key ion dependent processes to model kidney function in health and disease. He has been particularly active in promoting genomic, proteomic and metabolomic technologies to leverage functional outputs against the sequenced genomes of model organisms.
