Event details
Professor Mochida has a long standing interest in the molecular and cellular mechanisms that co-ordinate Ca2+channel function and how ion influx co-ordinates the exocytosis of neurotransmitter
Her work includes investigation of the channels and the protein interaction cascades that determine transmitter release and its plasticity. This includes recent investigation of the differential effects of distinct classes of Ca2+ binding proteins on transmitter release plasticity
Speaker information
Professor Sumiko Mochida , Department of Physiology. Tokyo Medical University
