Academic Qualifications

2018-2022: Phd PME (Plant microbe ecology) lab. University of Southampton, UK.
2012-2014: Mphil in Microbiology. Quaid e Azam University, Pakistan.
2010-2012: Msc in Microbiology. Quaid e Azam University, Pakistan.

Research interests

My research interest focuses on exploring the functional connection between plant species and below ground microbiome at a molecular level in order to understand the functional identity of peatland microbial communities and how these specific plant-microbe relationships can restore/rehabilitate the stability of the peat carbon stock.

Supervisors: Dr Bjorn RobroekDr Marc Dumont
PhD Research: Eat in, or Eat out? The role of plant communities for microbial metabolic activity
Funding: SPITFIRE-DTP/Co-financed by Länsstyrelsen i Jönköpings län, Sweden
