Sustainability is a core theme of the University Strategy, with the vision that by 2030 \u201csustainability will be part of everything the University does.\u201d In addition, the Sustainability Strategic Plan is clear that we will reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions to net zero by 2030. The Sustainability Implementation Group (SIG) have started working closely with teams across the University to ensure that sustainability is embedded in all our key decision-making processes, particularly in key areas such as the Estates Capital programme, IT projects, and strategic major projects. In response to the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015, which sets out the importance of preventing people from being drawn into terrorism, the OfS developed guidance for Higher Education Providers (HEPs) to clarify their responsibilities. The report provides an overview of progress against our broad strategic intent in relation to EDI; the six goals set out in the Strategic Plan for EDI; and the University\u2019s four equality objectives. Produced and curated by the University\u2019s Social Mobility Network, it offers a glimpse into the lived experiences of its contributors, celebrating who they are and what they bring to the institution and our city.
