MBA Programme Manager, Senior Enterprise Fellow
Swarna Prasad is the MBA Programme Manager within Southampton Business School at the University of Southampton.
Swarna currently oversees the operational aspects of the MBA programme including international study trips, recruitment, marketing, alumni and enterprise engagement activities.
Swarna obtained her BSc and MSc in Chemistry from University of Madras, India and MSc in Environmental Management from University of Nottingham (1998). She received her PhD in Sustainability and Business from Solent University in 2008 and has worked in several research projects on sustainable transport, sustainable social enterprise and business. Prior to joining academia, Swarna worked in environmental consulting, banking and health care sector in India and the UK.
Swarna joined Southampton Business School in 2012 as an ESRC Senior Research Fellow working on two ESRC funded research projects: ‘Engaging Hairdressers in Pro-environmental behaviours’ and ‘Embedding Sustainability in the Hairdressing Curriculum’. She also has teaching experience in delivering Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Ethics, Sustainability & Business and Research Methods for both UG and PG programmes at SBS and Solent University.
