Southampton Business School is a truly international Business School, attracting students from over 125 countries. We benefit from a faculty that boasts research and teaching staff from 34 nationalities. In fact, 62% of our Faculty are international scholars – a fact we are extremely proud of. 

Our research centres produce work that is considered as World Class, and we benefit from having a high-quality network of partners – universities, organisations, enterprises – drawn from across the world, which enhances the quality of our research and education.  
 
Our researchers hold a wide variety of international visiting positions at World-class Business Schools such as Aalto University, Audencia Business School Baruch College, Frankfurt School of Management and Finance and Max Planck Institute for Human Development.

We hold institutional membership of a number of prestigious international organisations and collaborative networks. We also have study link partnerships with top-quality institutions all over the world.

International memberships

We are members of:

  • Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS) - An organisation which promotes business and management education, training, research and development, nationally and internationally, to improve the quality and effectiveness of management, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
  • Chartered Management Institute (CMI) – An organisation that creates leaders through management and leadership development training, qualifications, membership and research.
  • Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) – A research consortium bringing together 23 partner universities spanning 13 countries and six continents to address the World’s major challenges.
  • European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) - an international not-for-profit organisation which is recognised for its world-leading quality and impact assessment in management education.
  • United Nations Principles of Responsible Management Education (UNPRME) Southampton Business School is a signatory of UNPRME, integrating the principles of sustainability and responsibility into all areas of operations, including the curricula of undergraduate and postgraduate modules.

The School is strategically partnered on research links with TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) in India (AACSB, AMBA) and Audencia Business School in France (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS). Faculty within the School regularly collaborate with these partners on research papers, funding applications and joint activities (e.g. seminars).

Study-link partners

International visiting students

We welcome international undergraduate and postgraduate students on a short-term basis. Find out more about about visiting for a semester or full year of study.
 
The Faculty of Social Sciences also hosts an annual Summer School at our Highfield Campus. Each year we welcome students from across the World who receive an exceptional educational and cultural experience.

International visiting researchers

Visiting academics from outside of the University are invited to collaborate with us and contribute to our research and teaching activities. 
 
To visit us for between three months and three years you will need:

1. the support of a member of our Faculty 
2. a current CV
