Dr Bo Wang currently holds the position of Lecturer in Finance at the Department of Banking and Finance, Southampton Business School. Bo has a Ph.D. in Finance and is a CFA charterholder.
Dr Bo Wang’s research interests cover empirical topics in Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance. His primary research focuses on executive compensation, managerial risk-taking, corporate social responsibility, and understanding the role of top managers and the board of directors.
Bo has published his works in top journals, including Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, British Journal of Management, and Journal of Business Finance & Accounting.

Biography
Dr Bo Wang is a Lecturer in Finance at the Southampton Business School, University of Southampton. Bo is an active member of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Institute and CFA charterholder. He also holds the role of Business School Examination Officer.
Prior to his appointment as Lecturer in Finance at the University of Southampton in 2021, Bo was a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Canterbury Christ Church University and Teaching Assistant at the University of Birmingham.
Bo holds a PhD degree in Finance from the University of Birmingham. He completed his MSc degree in Finance and Investment from the University of Bristol and BSc degrees from the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.
