Dr Bo Wang is a Lecturer in Finance at the Southampton Business School, University of Southampton.

Prior to his appointment as Lecturer in Finance at the University of Southampton in 2021, Bo is Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Canterbury Christ Church University and Teaching Assistant at the University of Birmingham. 

Bo holds a PhD degree in Finance from the University of Birmingham. He completed his MSc degree in Finance and Investment from the University of Bristol and BSc degrees from the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. Bo has passed CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Level III exam. 

Dr Bo Wang’s research interests concern empirical topics in corporate finance and corporate governance. His primary research focuses on executive compensation, managerial risk-taking, and understanding the role of top managers and the board of directors.
