CORMSIS Industry Liaison Officer

Julie and University of Southampton colleague Peter Becque facilitate collaboration between academia and business in the area of analytics and operational research.

Julie joined the University of Southampton in 2015 after a corporate career, including 15 years with PwC in London as a senior manager working on a variety of projects and 10 years with DHL International overseeing key account customer relationships

Julie bridges the gap between academia and the business world sourcing opportunities for collaboration, primarily by securing approximately 70 bespoke projects annually with Peter Becque for CORMSIS MSc students.  A unique student / sponsor matching process maximises the potential impact and success of these projects, some leading to student recruitment, further research and development, increased revenues/reduced costs or consulting.

UK and International CORMSIS MSc projects cover a wide range of organisations including corporates, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), government departments, health service, charity and third sector.

Passionate about careers and employability, Julie was previously Employability Lead for Southampton Business School and is committed to ongoing professional development in this area.
