Damilola is the CEO/Co-founder of GoMyWay.com. She holds a bachelors degree in Information Technology and a masters degree in Business Strategy and Innovation Management. She is passionate about building small businesses, innovation and the use of technology to solve problems.

My time at the Business School was fulfilling. I went looking to learn and gain great work experience in one year and was able to achieve all of that and more.

After completing my first degree in Information Technology, I worked as a software developer for a technology firm. It was here I became interested in using technology to provide a business that would be of value to thousands of people. I wanted to undertake an MSc to achieve my business goal; using technology to solve problems. I came across the Business Strategy and Innovation Management course at the University of Southampton’s Business School.

I enjoyed studying at the Business School. The classes were small, so it was easy to connect with the lecturers and fully engage with others during classes. I particularly enjoyed the case studies and the brain-storming sessions. During my year, the careers department gave me the opportunity to work at a reputable company. This helped me to secure a job before completing my MSc.

My company GoMyWay.com  was born out of a need to provide solutions to some of the issues that exist within the transport sector in Nigeria and some other countries in Africa. I believe GoMyWay, can build a new African rail network on roads, powered by the people. One that can make commuting and traveling convenient and affordable and help car owners cut down vehicle maintenance costs as well as have a positive impact on the environment.

The plan is to make GoMyWay.com a mainstream transport option in Nigeria and expand to other parts of Africa.
