The course combined the practical side of marketing with management techniques which will be invaluable as my career develops.

Why did you want to study at the Business School
My first degree at the University of Southampton was in Oceanography but when I graduated I thought it was time to change direction. During my undergraduate years I had volunteered at Enactus, the student entrepreneurship society and liked that kind of work so decided to stay at Southampton.

What did you like best?
The course was very well organised and planned. It combined the practical side of marketing with management techniques which will be invaluable as my career develops. I also liked meeting lots of international students, many came from Asia and I’ve made several Vietnamese friends. It’s good to understand different cultures and how they prefer to do business.

What are you doing now and what’s your ambition?
I’ve got a job at Meltwater, a leading London media monitoring and analytics company in London, as a client services representative. It’s a great company and they promote internally so I hope my career will flourish there. My ambition? Well, I’d like to become a team leader or manager at the company.
