Other Special Achievements

Tolga Bektas was awarded £16K from the Web Science Institute for a project titled ‘Web-based optimisation tools for collaborative planning in freight distribution’ starting November 2017, Investigators: Prof Tolga Bektas (FBLA) and Prof Tom Cherrett (FEE).

Cristián Bravo’s book ‘Profit Driven Business Analytics’ co-authored by W. Verbeke and B. Baesens and published by Wiley will be translated to Chinese and published by Tsinghua University Press in 2019.

Cristián Bravo has been appointed Associate Editor of the Journal of Business Analytics which will start being published by the UK's Operational Research Society starting next year.

Cristián Bravo and Christophe Mues were granted one of the ESRC SCDTP fully funded PhD grants for the project “Improving SME Credit Risk Management with Advanced Predictive Analytics. The student will start on 1 January 2018.

Marta Degl’Innocenti organized the workshop on “Banking on industry: does banking architecture matter for stability, industrial structure, and development?” at Maastricht University, Netherlands, the 29 September 2017 with the support of the grant Policy|Challenge.
