MBA students take part in staged performance appraisal workshop

As part of the Performance Management class in the Managing People module, MBA students watched a staged performance appraisal between a manager and employee and were then given the opportunity to act as the manager in the ensuing scenarios.

MBA Director Dr Nuno Da Camara explains: "Participatory theatre is an excellent technique which illustrates real behaviours in the classroom and allows students to practice these behaviours themselves. Traditional chalk and talk teaching has a purpose in terms of imparting information but behavioural focused learning requires highly active techniques to support learning transfer to the workplace."

The session was delivered by:

Dr Nuno Da Camara - MBA Director

Esam Bakhsh BEng MBA - Business Training Consultant
