Business School hosts a day of webinars around the world for prospective postgraduate students
On 7 September 2020, the Business School embarked on its "Step into your Future" event as part of Project: Around the World. A team consisting of Dr. Shahnaz Ibrahim (Senior Teaching Fellow in Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship) and Julie Hickman (SBS Careers and Employability Lead) led by Dr. Rob Angell (Director of Internationalisation) all from Southampton Business School transcended global time zones to meet prospective students across the World, who were given advice about how to reach their full potential and how Southampton Business School offers a transformative experience. The webinars took place from the early morning to the late evening with staff engaging with students in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Central and East Asia.
Dr Rob Angell said:
"It was an engaging and exhilarating day. It was comparable to flying across the World's time zones in a single day, but without the jet lag! I am so grateful to my wonderful colleagues and the Faculty and University International Offices for all of their help and assistance. The students were so motivated and passionate about Southampton and had great questions. It was a pleasure".
