Professor Yehuda Baruch recognised by British Academy of Management

Congratulations to Yehuda Baruch who was presented with the Cooper Medal for Outstanding Contribution and Leadership at the 2020 British Academy of Management (BAM) Conference.

The Cooper Medal for Outstanding Contribution and Leadership is awarded for a sustained, and significant contribution to the development of the Academy by a member, and Professor Baruch was awarded it for his consistent support for activities that develop BAM.

The British Academy of Management awards medals to recognise outstanding and important achievement and service to our community.

At a more senior level, it introduced this medal to recognise particularly outstanding contribution and leadership. The Academy's founding President, Professor Sir Cary Cooper, was the first recipient and the medal was subsequently named in his honour.

Yehuda won the medal for consistent support for activities that develop BAM. Highlights include leading the Doctorial Symposium for three years, building it strongly and developing a strong and supportive doctoral community. He stepped up to the challenge of creating a BAM Peer Review College.

Yehuda is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and a Fellow of the British Academy of Management. He is an established internationally recognised scholar with research expertise in the areas of careers, international and strategic HRM, impact of MBA and organisational culture.

Yehuda has over 350 pubications of which more that 150 are refereed journal papers (H-index of 69; over 22,000 citations). Formerly he served as the VP for Research of the European Academy of Management (EURAM), Associate Editor of Human Resource Management (US, FT list); Editor of Group and Organization Management, and Chair of the Careers Division of the Academy of Management (USA).
