Business School host its second series of "Step into your future" for prospective undergraduate students
On 8 December 2020, Southampton Business School embarked on its second series of "Step into your Future".
Prospective undergraduate students were invited to this online session on how to reach their full potential at Southampton Business School and how this can be a transformative experience.
Led by Dr. Rob Angell (Director of Internationalisation), the session began with an introduction about the Business School and an insightful taster lecture by Dr. David Baxter (Associate Professor of Innovation) on: What is Innovation? and Why is Difficult? Reflecting on the Emergence of New Technology.
Georgia Ivey, Southampton Business school alumna (BSc Business Analytics (with placement) shared her story and journey from University of Southampton to her current role at Capgemini Invent and provided some practical tips.
Julie Hickman (Industry liaison) followed with a session about careers and employability and how University of Southampton and the Business School provides student support in this area.
The session ended with Q&A session were prospective students were able to ask their queries to the panel.
Speaking about the event, Dr. Rob Angell said, "It was great to meet international students from the UK, Europe and even further. We assembled three great speakers and gave an interactive and insightful review of the Southampton Business School experience."
