Business School professor receives a record third Goodeve Medal

Sally Brailsford, Professor of Management Science at Southampton Business School, has received her third Goodeve Medal from the Operational Research (OR) Society. The prestigious award is made to the author of the best academic paper published in the Society’s journal in the previous year. Sally is the first person to win three Goodeve Medals.


Business School Apprentice Challenge Success For Our Students

Six Business School students who were shortlisted for our Business School Apprentice Challenge presented to Renold Tang, successful Entrepreneur, Southampton Alumnus and Business Clinic advisor in an event on Wednesday this week. Renold very generously sponsored this prize.


Business School professor addresses food safety issues

Michelle Lowe, Southampton Business School Professor of Strategy and Innovation, is co-organising a major Food Standards Agency (FSA) workshop on how companies involved in the food supply chain can tackle public health issues surrounding bacteria which are resistant to antibiotics (antimicrobial resistance or AMR). She will speak about the global responsibility of tackling AMR in relation to food retailers and their meat suppliers.


Southampton Business School launches evening seminar series

The 30th November will see the first in a series of monthly evening seminars, hosted by Southampton Business School. Each month, speakers from industry and academia will explore current industry topics, and share unique insight and research findings with attendees.


Business School to host entrepreneurship competition

On November 16, Southampton Business School will be hosting a competition for current students to pitch their business ideas to successful entrepreneur, Southampton alumnus and Small Business Clinic advisor Renold Tang.
