The seminar will examine the importance of cybersecurity capabilities in the industry context of banking exploring a recent case example, which has driven huge change and investment in how Financial Services organise, prepare and respond to cyber threats. The discussion includes an autopsy of the events which unfolded and the level of sophistication which criminal adversaries employ.

Speaker information

Simon Cox, J.P.Morgan. Simon is a Technology Director at J.P. Morgan now based in the Bournemouth Corporate Centre with over 16 years experience in building and running large scale systems in Financial Services. With knowledge of payments processing and clearing and settlement practices he is well placed to speak from first hand about industry evolving considerations on technology security. Simon began his career in the steel industry earning an Engineering Doctorate in computational modeling of a steel manufacturing process before transitioning into Financial Services technology consulting.
