After my BA degree in Management and Corporate Leadership my aim was to pursue a Masters in the UK. I mainly wanted to gain some experience abroad and the UK is known for excellent study conditions.

The MSc in Knowledge and Information Systems Management provides the necessary base to understand how to manage knowledge within an organisation and how to use information systems and technology in today's digital era.

Due to my past working experience as a working student at a software company back home in Germany I decided to combine my two major interests in my postgraduate studies: Business and IT. I chose the University of Southampton because of its very interesting course content. The modules seemed very well chosen and appealed to me more comprehensive compared to similar programmes from other UK universities. The MSc in Knowledge and Information Systems Management provides the necessary base to understand how to manage knowledge within an organisation and how to use information systems and technology in today's digital era. Learning from a renowned establishment such as the University of Southampton also prepared me for future challenges in a technological working environment.

The fact that lectures tend to be held in relative small classes and not straight out of a textbook but rather based on an interactive exchange between students and lecturers was appreciated very much. Including students from technical disciplines as well as from general management fields was also very helpful especially for group assignments and ensured a high level of expertise from both fields.
