The University of Southampton has allowed me to develop an in-depth knowledge on a topic I am passionate about. I've had the opportunity to engage in a wide range of extra curricular activities and make life time friends from all over the world.

In 2015, I graduated from the Leibniz University of Hanover in Engineering and Business Administration with a major in Electrical Engineering. Studying Finance for my masters degree at the University of Southampton has allowed me to greatly improve my language skills.

During induction week I got to know many of the university societies offering possibilities to attend, participate and contribute. I joined “Fish on Toast” the entrepreneurship and business society of the University of Southampton. After attending insightful talks and speaking to people from the committee I had the opportunity of helping to organise the YouTech conference 2016, a technology conference with 100 participants and more than ten speakers. This was one of the best team working experiences I have ever had. Working on a business idea in a team and thinking about business plans, funding, pitching, legal requirements as well as listening to talks from various entrepreneurs, inspired and motivated me to start my own company. Together with my British neighbour and close friend of mine we are hoping to launch a mobile application soon.

Apart from extracurricular activities, I have tried new sports such as Quidditch and Squash together with friends from my course which has a wide range of student nationalities. Attending lectures, writing assignments, studying, explaining cultural differences, sharing ideas and having fun together has created a strong and international (China, India, Malaysia, Columbia, Germany) group of five that explored four European cities together. These are people I will most probably be friends with for the rest of my life.
