The academics in my department are some of the best in the field which made choosing Southampton Business School an easy choice.

Why did you choose to study at Southampton?

I studied my undergraduate degree at the University of Southampton (BSc Marketing). I enjoyed the course so much that I felt inspired to continue studying here at postgraduate level. The academics in my department are some of the best in the field which made choosing Southampton Business School an easy choice.

What is it like studying here?

I have lived in Southampton and been a student at the University of Southampton for almost 4 years now and it has been a great experience. The lecturers are so supportive and the level of feedback provided during my MSc has been excellent.

What are you enjoying most about your course?

The Service Innovation Management module in the MSc Business Strategy and Innovation Management programme is an extremely interesting module - it has a particular focus on applying service innovation models and frameworks to real-life cases, so I have been able to observe how real companies innovate their services.

What have been your Southampton 'highlights' so far?

My highlight of studying at Southampton has been achieving a First Class Honours in my undergraduate degree and receiving the Best Performance on a Programme prize.

How has your time at Southampton helped you to grow as a person?

My time at Southampton has allowed me to refine my career ambitions and gain confidence in presenting my ideas.

How do you rate study facilities at the University?

The library has a plethora of excellent resources, from textbooks to academic journals.

What is the city of Southampton like to live in?

Southampton is a great city to study in - there is plenty to do, including nightlife, shopping and restaurants.

What are your plans and/or ambitions after you graduate?

My ambition after I finish my MSc is to go onto PhD study and eventually into academia and research.

What advice would you give to a student starting their degree at Southampton?

Do not be afraid to ask for help - lecturers are very supportive!
