My summer project was absolutely an unforgettable experience. It gave me opportunities to talk to companies. Although I wasn’t selected, the topics companies proposed, gave me some directions in my dissertation.

Why did you choose to study at Southampton?

My undergraduate alumnus studied at Southampton and recommended this University for me. They said this was a suitable place to study and live. When I searched courses on the official website, I found these were exactly what I wanted to learn. Finally, I did receive the abilities and skills I expected.

What was the academic support that you received like?

There are plenty of online resources like eBooks and literature that supported my study and extended knowledge in various fields. My dissertation supervisor, Dr Steffen Bayer provided me effective guidance. He made me more confident and I got a good mark.

What was it like studying here?

Southampton provides diverse optional courses, so I could extend my knowledge and skills in the field which I desired the most. We could communicate with lecturers easily, like by email and appointment.

What were your Southampton 'highlights'?

The gym in Mayflower Halls was an ideal place to relax after a busy day. I strongly recommend you to be a member of the gym.

What did you enjoy most about your course?

The project-based coursework and assignments combined knowledge with practice, which made the study more interesting and practical.

What are you currently doing since graduating?

I am working for an investment company at present, doing project development for a logistics industrial park.
