Barbara’s research is concerned with leader behaviours and their impact on organisational resilience. She is studying this within two UK hospitals.

Her initial career was in the NHS and she is the Managing Director of Halland Institute, an Organisational Development consultancy she founded in 1998, working primarily with the health and social care sectors.

Her first degree was in Nursing Studies, awarded from the University of Surrey and for her MPhil degree from Cranfield University she researched Quality in Health Care.

Research interests

Research Title: The Imnpact of Leader Behaviour on Organisational Resilience within the UK National Health Service

Supervisors: Prof Yehuda Baruch; Dr Jane Parry; Dr Michalis Veliziotis

Online Teaching Assistant: working with academics to support them with their online tutorials, etc.
