Fatma Al Khabouri | Ph.D. Student at Southampton Business School.

Fatma started her Ph.D. in September 2019. She is working on a historical business and accounting case study under the supervision of Dr. Roy Edwards and Dr. Oliver Marnet. Her research explores the context of accounting and how it relates to broader business and economic knowledge in Oman with an emphasis on the effect of economic modernisation on the development of accounting.

Fatma holds an MSc (Distinction) in Accounting and Management from the University of Southampton (2017), and BSc (honors) in Accounting from Sultan Qaboos University (2014). She has been working as an Accountant in the Omani Royal Court since 2014.

Research interests

PhD Research Title: The Development of Business Knowledge and Accounting in Oman.

Funding: The Government of the Sultanate of Oman
