Careers Fairs

Careers Opportunities Fair, held on Wednesday 09 March 11:00 - 16:00

Hosted on MyCareer, this unmissable Virtual Careers Fair was a fantastic opportunity to network and explore a career with sector-leading organisations.

There were over 40 exhibitors with opportunities including internships, placements and graduate roles. Companies attending and wanting to meet you include, BAE Systems, Civil Service Fast Stream, Enterprise, Furgro, Menzies LLP, Schlumberger and many more.

Professional Archaeology Careers Fair, held on Monday 14 March 13:30 – 15:30

Spring Employer Events

Other events in Spring 2022 included the first ever on-campus Summer Internship event and the International Student Careers Afternoon. Both were held in building 38p and were fully booked.

Design Your Future Festival 2021

This was a 3-week festival of events (18 October - 07 November 2021) to support students in accessing work experience, graduate roles, part-time work and entrepreneurship activities. Included in the Design Your Future Festival was our 3 virtual careers fairs, employer-led panel events and employability workshops.

Autumn Careers Fairs

Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise hosted four Careers Fairs for all students this Autumn as part of the Design Your Future Festival. The All Sectors, IT, Science & Engineering and Non-profit & Charity Fairs were hosted virtually via MyCareer and there was the opportunity to pre-book 121 conversations and have group chats on the day with employers who offered a range of vacancies and graduate roles.

The University Opportunities Fair was successfully hosted in person on the Redbrick and Marquee areas. There were over 20 exhibitors from a wide range of University departments including: Study Abroad, Work Experience, Enterprise, Alumni, Post Graduate and the Students Union.

 

All Sectors Fair

The All Sector Careers Fair was hosted via MyCareer on Wednesday 27 October from 11:00–17:00. Click here to still see who exhibited, their stands and opportunities.

GradFest 2021


In June 2021, we hosted a series of panel events to support students and recent graduates entering the workplace. Topics ranged from Imposter Syndrome and Diversity & Inclusion to Networking & Digital Applications. Panellists represented a range of organisations including: Civil Service, Amazon and Mazars.
