Are you the first person in your family, other than your brothers/sisters, to go to university, or are you unaware of whether your parents have participated in Higher Education? If so you are a “First Generation” student. Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise recognise your unique perspective and skills because of your background. We also believe in working to achieve fair graduate employment outcomes in the contemporary labour market.

My Generation Career Coaching can help you to clarify your goals and improve your career planning skills. You can be coached to make outstanding job applications and improve performance at interviews as well as getting help to expand your professional network along the way.

The My Generation Career Coaching Programme offers a safe, non-judgemental environment to help you find your own solutions.  Benefits include:

Eligibility

Applications are open to UK undergraduate students. To be eligible for My Generation Career Coaching you must be the first person in your family, other than brothers/sisters, to attend university, or be unaware of whether your parents have participated in Higher Education.

Places on the programme are limited and eligible students who are not offered a place will be offered tailored access to other support offered by Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise.
