Dr Shiri Shkedi-Rafid has been awarded a prestigious travel fellowship from the academy of medical sciences to undertake a research study based in CELS group UoS and Wessex Clinical Genetics Service

She will be developing and evaluating web-based aids to facilitate consent for genomic testing using two clinical scenarios (prenatal genetic testing and adult cancer predisposition testing) as exemplars. She plans to spend August 2017 in the UK to develop and test a key stage of her wider research plans on web-based aids. Shiri was a research fellow and a genetic counsellor in CELS/ Wessex Clinical Genetics Service from 2014-2015 and we look forward to welcoming her back.
