As part of our research engagement activity ‘Engaging with parents of the future about the offer of genetic screening before pregnancy’ funded from the University of Southampton’s Public Engagement with Research unit (PERu), Gillian Crawford and Mirjam Plantinga will visit Bitterne Park School where A level students from Bitterne Park and St Anne’s Schools will come together to showcase the group-based homework they did on critically analysing a decision aid on pre-conception carrier screening and debate about the ethical and societal implications of offering the pre-conception carrier screening test in healthcare.
