The following First Southampton bus services serve the hospital: 6 or 6a from Burgess Road outside Boldrewood Campus and 10 or 10a from Southampton Central Station.
From the M3
Follow signs for Southampton A33 (not Southampton Docks). At the first roundabout, go straight across onto Bassett Avenue. At the second roundabout take the second exit onto A35 Winchester Road. After approximately one mile, turn right onto Dale Road and then turn right again onto Tremona Road.
From the M27 travelling from the east
Take Junction 5 (Southampton Airport/Eastleigh) and take the first exit off the roundabout. At the fourth set of traffic lights, the road divides. Turn right onto Burgess Road (McDonald's will be on your left). The University's Highfield campus is about 3/4 of a mile ahead on your left.
Follow Burgess Road passing Boldrewood Campus on your right. At the major intersection with The Avenue, continue straight on along Burgess Road. Turn right at the mini-roundabout and immediately left into the filter lane onto Winchester Road. Turn right onto Dale Road and then turn right onto Tremona Road.
From the M27 travelling from the west
Take Junction 3 and follow signs for M271 City Centre and The Docks. At Redbridge roundabout turn left onto A35 Redbridge Road. Stay in the left-hand lane to the next roundabout and take the second exit into Tebourba Way following the signs for the A35 and University of Southampton.
Continue along Tebourba Way through several sets of lights onto Winchester Road. Turn left onto Dale Road and then turn right onto Tremona Road.
The entrance to the site's main parking in the multi-storey carpark is off Tremona Road at the northern end of the site. At certain times of day there is a long queue for this car park. If so, leave the queue, and carry on to the exit to Coxford Road and turn left.
Re-enter the hospital grounds via the entrance on your left a little further down Coxford Road. Turn right at the T-junction and follow the hospital perimeter road at the southern end of the site until you find the car park for the Eye Unit and Neurological Centre. This car park usually has spaces.
Disabled parking is along the front by the main entrance, with access via Tremona Road. Extra disabled parking is available at the southern end of the site, on the roadway near the entrance to the Eye Unit and by the Neurological Centre, with access for all these areas from Coxford Road.
