SET for Britain 2016 - Monday 7 March 2016
Catarina da Costa Moura, a PhD student from the Bone and Joint Research Group, is attending Parliament to present her research to a range of politicians and a panel of expert judges, as part of SET for Britain 2016 on Monday 7 March 2016
Catarina was shortlisted from hundreds of applicants to appear in Parliament.
Catarina’s poster on research about non-invasive techniques to study skeletal stem cells, resulted from a collaboration with Justyna Smus, Dr Sumeet Mahajan, Dr Rahul Tare and Prof Richard Oreffo, and will be judged against dozens of other scientists’ research in the only national competition of its kind.
The final of the 2016 SET for BRITAIN event took place on Monday, 7th March 2016. SET for BRITAIN exists to raise the profile of Britain's early-stage researchers at Westminster by engaging Members of both Houses of Parliament with current science, engineering and mathematics research being undertaken in the UK, especially that by their local constituents and in their local University.
