STEM CELL MOUNTAIN ROADSHOW Thomas Hardye School, Dorchester
19th April 2016
Our enthusiastic team from Institute of Developmental Sciences – University of Southampton – once again brought to life the Stem Cell Mountain during a Roadshow at the Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester, where children from years 9 and 10 enjoyed exploring and learning how cells work in a fun environment. This special event involved several research groups from the University of Southampton bringing to life a real ‘fair’ where school children had the chance to get involved, at the same time, in real but playful science. Teachers and children were extremely positive about our Stem Cell Mountain outlining how useful it was to understand stem cell pluripotency, fate and function within an entertaining game.
