Nominations are now open for the SUSU (University of Southampton Student’s Union) Excellence in Teaching Awards 2014. This is your chance to say thanks to a member of academic staff who has gone out of their way to help you do brilliantly in your module.

Perhaps your tutor gives amazing, fully-packed lectures. Or perhaps they always give you a chance to talk about your feedback. Maybe they always find new ways to help you develop your skills. Maybe they're outstanding in how they support your learning. Or it might just be that they've had inspired you through their teaching.

Know a lecturer or member of teaching staff that has excelled over the last year?
Nominate

You can nominate your lecturers from Monday 17 March at 12pm. Go to www.susu.org/eta and nominate your lecturer in one of the five categories. Nominations will close on Monday 24 March at 5pm. The winner will be presented with their award at the ceremony on the 8 May - and you can be there too. Tickets will be available once nominations are closed.

This is the only teaching award that is chosen completely by students - so say thank you to your lecturer by nominating them.
