Chemistry September Open days 2014!

Visiting the University is a great opportunity to see the campuses and find out what it’s really like to live and study here.

Every year our chemistry department hosts two open days where you can walk around and view our state-of-the-art student facilities. Tours include the Hartley Library, Jubilee Sports Centre, Students’ Union and a hall of residence and of course the cutting-edge facilities in our chemistry department.

 

Our Open day will be held on:

  • Friday 5 September

  • Saturday 6 September

Chemistry at Southampton

If you are thinking about studying chemistry, our exciting degrees in chemistry cover all aspects of the subject. We will encourage you to develop your skills in this fast-moving science through hands-on laboratory work, lectures and seminars. You will also gain confidence in vital workplace skills such as communication and presentation that will boost your employability, no matter what career you choose after graduation.

Our state-of-the-art labs

During your Open Day tour you will be able to visit our impressive laboratories, that are among the best teaching facilities in the UK. Our teaching staff and student ambassadors will be on-hand to answer any questions you have. Our student ambassadors will gladly give you tours and tell you what it's like to study and live in Southampton. Many are part of our student sports clubs and societies and will be able to give you guidance on the activities they run over the course of the academic year.

World-leading facilities

We warmly invite you to attend one of our Open Days as we are enthusiastic about meeting you and think you'll like what you find here. Our next undergraduate Open Day will be held on the 5 and 6 September this year. We would love you to join us!
