Event details

Part of the MAFS Seminar Series

I will talk about our recently developed aerosol assisted chemical vapour deposition (AACVD) single-step route to functionalised nanomaterials. This has the advantage of being applicable to a wide variety of nanostructured materials, and by requiring only relatively low temperatures and with no requirement for surface modification of the substrate (i.e. catalyst seeding) provides for their direct integration into device structures. We are interested in a wide range of applications, for instance catalysis, photochemistry and sensors, and I will discuss results in these areas including those on direct deposition onto MEMS fabricated substrates for use in creating a highly selective gas microsensor array.
