Event details

Paul Pringle presents a seminar as part of the Functional Inorganic, Materials and Supramolecular Chemistry Groups seminar series.

Organophosphorus ligands, those containing P-C, P-O and P-N bonds, have been at the centre of homogeneous catalysis for over 50 years. We are interested in expanding the portfolio of ligands for catalysis to those containing P-F or P-B bonds and in this talk the synthesis, stability and properties of these exotic ligands will be presented.

Speaker information

Professor Paul Pringle, University of Bristol. Paul Pringle did his first degree at Leicester and then a PhD with Professor Bernard Shaw at Leeds. He was a lecturer at the University of Warwick for 5 years before moving to Bristol in 1988
