The objective of our chemistry research degrees is to produce high-quality professional scientists, with an advanced understanding of chemistry and an enthusiasm to use this knowledge to carry out research in an academic or industrial environment.
Chemistry at Southampton has over 200 people actively involved in research. Each year we accept more than 50 postgraduate students from a variety of backgrounds to study for chemistry research degrees.
