Research project: Hayden: HT Screening of Functional Oxides

Currently Active:
Yes

.

Project Overview

Functional ceramic or oxide materials are important in both the electronics industry, in the development of new micro-fabricated device structures, and in the development of piezoelectric actuators. HT synthesis and screening and methods have been used to study the electronic (dielectric, tunability and loss, ferroelectric) properties of amorphous and crystalline oxide materials. Both large ranges of solid solutions of single phases (such as a perovskite) oof multiple phases over composition ranges can be synthesised on a single substrate.
