We welcome applications from students who have studied anywhere in the world and who come from a wide variety of academic backgrounds.
Our typical offers for students who are studying 3 A-levels are:
Other acceptable science/mathematics subjects include physics, mathematics, further mathematics, biology, human biology, geology, geography and psychology. Each application is considered on its own merit. Standard offers are made based on the application as a whole, including combination of subjects taken, degree programme applied for and predicted grades. Offers may be subject to adjustment, based on discussion with the applicant, formal interview (if deemed necessary), or on a contextual basis. Under certain circumstances we may make an offer to an individual applicant which differs from those outlined above.
If you are applying with qualifications or a course of study other than A levels, please consult the individual course pages or our more general page on international qualifications. If your qualification type is not listed, please contact us for more information.
All applications for our courses must be made through the University and Colleges Application Service (UCAS).
Qualifications and skills not normally included in our academic offer
Whilst recognised as highly commendable qualifications, we do not normally include A level Science, General Studies, Critical Thinking or Musical qualifications at Grade 6 and above in our formal offers. We do not accept EPQs as part of a formal offer, nor make modified offers based on an EPQ. We do regard them highly, however, and they may play a part in our decision process at confirmation.
Prior Learning
If you have professional experience, or credit through prior learning at another institution, you may be eligible to use this experience against some of the programme requirements for period of study (e.g. for direct entry in to Year 2, or Year 3 under exceptional circumstances). You will need to present evidence that you have met the learning outcomes of the programme. Full details may be found in the University's Policy on the Recognition of Prior Learning. If you think this may apply to you, please contact us using the details below.
