Student Engagement - Working in partnership with our students to enhance the student experience

Target audience: All Academic Staff who undertake education, in particular those with leadership responsibilities such as module and programme leads.

Brief Outline: Student engagement means far more than listening to students’ views and responding to their feedback and if we get it right it can have significant impact upon satisfaction scores. This workshop will look at the evidence and at good practice in student engagement across the sector, to identify the benefits & challenges that working in partnership with students can bring. It will take the format of an initial presentation, followed by small group discussions in which attendees will have the opportunity to reflect upon their existing practice and think about aspects of student engagement they may want to enhance.
