Public Engagement as a Route to Research Impact: Overview and training opportunities

Target audience: All Academic Staff and ECRs involved in research.

Brief Outline:

Public Engagement with Research (PER) is increasingly important in demonstrating impact, supporting both funding applications and REF performance.  Such activity also supports skills development for academics and researchers, creates opportunities for interdisciplinary and external collaborations and can be incredibly rewarding.  This interactive workshop will provide an overview of the topic and training opportunities within the University, with the aim of encouraging participants and their research groups to get involved in Public Engagement activity.
