Researcher development

The Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP) promotes academic professional learning for every member of University staff, in all areas of academic activity and at every stage of their career. Our recently expanded Research & Enterprise Team is working in partnership with faculties and specialist teams from professional services to design and deliver professional development programme for staff engaged in research and enterprise across the University.

The CHEP Research & Enterprise Team

The team includes experienced researcher developers and administrators working alongside academic staff, and also encompasses the professional development aspect of the Doctoral College.

Still in our inaugural year, we are working to build connections across the University and deliver core projects, alongside a lively programme of events and training.

Keep an eye out in your email inbox or visit our CHEP events page (SharePoint) regularly to see what is on.

New Researcher Development SharePoint Hub

Our new site will signpost you to central professional development opportunities and resources for academic activity related to research and enterprise.

Primarily aimed at academic staff at all levels of experience, the site may also be useful to late stage PGRs and any professional services colleagues engaged with or supporting research and enterprise activity.
