Assessment and Feedback

Topic/Aim(s) of session:

Building on the introduction to assessment practices workshop, this session will review of principles and purposes of assessment, marking and feedback and the implications for student learning. Covering formative and summative assessment; diversity in assessment; conducting assessment; constructing and reviewing assessment tasks; communicating outcomes and enhancing feedback to students, participants will explore ways of making their assessment practice more useful and effective.

This 3 hour session is offered as part of the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice.

Please note that it is not possible to attend this session unless you are completing the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP).  To reserve a place on a PGCAP course (where you will attend all the module 1 and module 2 sessions) please email Karen Hockley (K.A.Hockley@soton.ac.uk).
