Published: 20 November 2017

University Hospital Southampton is acting as one of 5 pilot sites to test the process involved in measuring quality of life of those who have completed cancer treatment through administration of EORTC and EQ5D questionnaires.

This national project run by NHS England will  help understand long-term quality of life for cancer patients. In the longer term it is intended the responses from the questionnaire will form part of the National Cancer Dashboard and compliment data on patient experience and other performance data. Prof Alison Richardson is part of the team managing the project at Southampton and Dr Sophia Taylor and  Dr Jane Winter of MSRG are part of the team delivering the work.
