Chinese Tea and French Wine
The Confucius Institute at the University of Southampton promoted the cultural communication and understanding between China and France by jointly holding an informal academic show at the University Avenue Campus on 11th March 2017.
Marion Demossier, Professor of Modern Linguistics, from the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Southampton and Jasper Morris from the London Red Wine Industry explored the history, status and human relations of French Burgundy based on the theme of ' We are what we drink '.
Dr. Chen Ping from the Tea Department of Zhejiang University and Zhu Zhuzhen, the deputy director of the China Tea Museum, gave a detailed introduction to the history of Chinese tea culture and its influence as well as the origin of tea, the type of tea and the process of making tea.
