Completion of the Pre-departure Training Project

CI at UoS has completed a four-week pre-departure training project in August 2020 with its partner company Opportunity Education.

Around 60 trainees, who are soon going to work for schools in China as English teachers, participated in the “Teach China Graduate Program”. CI’s training has provided practical input for basic Mandarin language and issues that teachers may expect to come across during their first week or two teaching in China. It was a contents rich training with both synchronous online sessions and recorded sessions. Positive feedback has been received from the trainees and programme managers. The CI is pleased with the success and open to future partnership with anyone who is interested.
