Bohunt School Worthing Attended the 2-week Virtual Intensive Study in China

From 4th July 2022 to 15th July 2022, the Y9 students from Bohunt School Worthing, the cooperative Confucius Classroom of CI, attended a 2-week Virtual Intensive Study in China of Mandarin Excellence Programme, funded by the Department for Education and delivered by the UCL Institute of Education in partnership with the British Council.

This year is the fifth year that the Confucius Classroom at BSW has participated in the "Chinese Language Training Program". This year, the 2-week Virtual Intensive Study was taught by Beijing Language and Culture University, including nearly 10 topics such as panda zoo, sports and modern life, the historical and cultural heritage and so on. During the study, students learned some useful words and sentences, talked with language partners, made Chinese handwork and watched Chinese videos.

Students for BSW spoke highly of this Virtual Intensive Study. During the closing ceremony, the students expressed their thanks, said it is a precious opportunity for them to talk to Chinese partners and learn Chinese culture. They also hope that they can go to China in the future, to experience Chinese culture for themselves.
