Confucius Classroom at Bohunt School Worthing held “Mandarin Open Evening”

On 29th September 2022, Confucius Classroom at Bohunt School Worthing held the activity “Mandarin Open Evening”. This activity is one of the important part of the whole school activity “Open Evening” of Bohunt School Worthing, and was supported and assisted by CI.

During the Open Evening, the school district was open to parents and other community members to show the school environment and had some interesting activities. The Mandarin Department had six workshop: Paper Dragon Making, Chinese culture book reading, Chopsticks using, Chinese traditional cloth wearing, Chinese calligraphy experience, Diabolo playing. The Mandarin teachers also arranged beautiful display boards to share students’ excellent work and Chinese culture.

This activity as highly praised by the visitors. One of the student parents said this activity is extremely good as she got a chance to experience all kinds of interesting Chinese culture, and the highlight part is the warm and friendly altitude of all the staffs.

The Confucius Classroom at Bohunt School Worthing was founded in 2018, and the MEP ( Mandarin Excellent Program) was introduced at the same year. Now, there are four Mandarin teachers in this school and Mandarin courses are offered for all year groups. Teachers and students here will work together to breed more excellent Mandarin learner and promote Sino-British cultural exchanges.
