The year 2022, full of difficulties and challenges, is coming to an end.

Through the joint efforts of all the colleagues, the work of the institute has been successfully completed and has made encouraging progress.

We delivered 30 subjects to more than 1,000 students of all ages at the University of Southampton, the three primary and secondary schools in Southampton, and three secondary schools in Worthing, Liphook and Horsham. Our students have won awards in important competitions such as the "Chinese Bridge" for primary and secondary school Students and the "British University Students' Chinese Language Competition for Social Welfare and Business Innovation".

Apart from teaching, we have broadened the academic horizon of teachers and students through Chinese culture workshops, midday academic lectures and teaching workshops for students at all levels as well as locals, which thousands of people participated in. The Chinese martial arts courses offered to university staff are very popular and they not only help the staff keep fit, but also are a great activity for relieving stress.

In addition, we also facilitated HSK exams for more than 60 students and members of the public.

The year 2023 is approaching. In the New Year, we will continue to provide quality Chinese language teaching services to local teachers, students and the public and strive to maintain our high standards of education, as well as commit to promoting educational and friendly cultural exchanges between China and the UK.
