CI teachers visit Confucius Classrooms and Confucius teaching site

From January 24th to 26th, Dr. Ruoling Zheng, the Chinese Director of the CI, Ms. Ying Fu, the CI Core Teacher, and Mr. Kang Guoqi, the CI Mandarin Teacher, visited the Confucius Classrooms and Confucius teaching sites.

During the visit, the CI teachers visited the school campus, learned about the school’s learning environment, including the number of students and curriculum plan for Chinese language classes. The CI teachers also met with the leaders and Chinese teachers of each school to discuss the schools’ teaching needs. Future cooperation directions were communicated and negotiated. The CI teachers observed real Mandarin classes to evaluate and provide suggestions, as well.

During the visit, the Confucius Institute presented a wealth of teaching books and cultural items to the teaching sites and Confucius Classrooms as a New Year greeting, and the teachers of the Confucius Institute were warmly welcomed by the schools.

This visit was the first offline visit after the pandemic. It strengthened communication between the Confucius Institute and local schools, enhanced mutual understanding, and deepened solidarity and cooperation. This will help the two sides establish a friendly cooperative relationship and work together to promote the development of English and Chinese education in the future.
