The Confucius Institute at the University of Southampton Participated in the University's "Science and Engineering Festival"

On 18th March 2023, the University of Southampton hosted its annual "Science and Engineering Festival," which attracted many parents and children to participate. The Confucius Institute was invited to provide a workshop for Baduanjin (Eight-Section Brocade), a type of Chinese Health Qigong.

The festival also provided experiments in biology, physics, chemistry, and geology. Children and parents participated in the hands-on experiments and experienced the magic and interest brought by science and engineering.

The festival was very successful in deepening the participants’ knowledge and understanding of science and engineering as well as Chinese Qigong towards health.
