Southampton Confucius Institute student Owen won the Gold medal of "Dubbing Show of 2022 Global Chinese Language Competition for Foreigners".

In mid-April, the Dubbing Show of the 2022 Global Chinese Language Competition for Foreigners came to an end. A total of 1,502 Chinese lovers from 230 universities and colleges in 119 countries on 5 continents signed up for the dubbing show. The competition takes the form of "online + multi-end", which is divided into two stages: preliminary round and final round. In the end, five expert judges evaluated according to the aspects of pronunciation, rhythm, mood, interpretation, etc., and selected 3 gold awards, 5 silver awards, 10 bronze awards and many other individual awards. Under the guidance of Rong Gong, CI Mandarin teacher, student Owen won the gold medal in the final competition.
